At what length is it okay to move an axie from a still water bin to a tank with a small filter? I have one that is 3 inches and was wondering if she/he is big enough yet. I have never had one this little before so this is all new to me. I am doing the 2 time water changes a day and it in a small tub for now.

Thank you for any advice.

A 3" axie should be fine with a filter - thats about the size I move mine into a filtered tank. And on to earthworms - so much easier!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
