Hey guys!

I'm new here and to axolotls! I was successful in hatching 5 eggs, but all the larvae died within a day of hatching. They were moving within the eggs and seemed strong. Once hatched, I noted that their color lightened. To my knowledge, I was within ideal conditions, but obviously something wasn't right. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! I am located in SC for those who have some eggs/axies for sale!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
