I have a sick axolotl and I’m not sure what to do and was hoping I could get some help here. Remmy stopped eating about 2.5 weeks ago. I tubbed him after a few days if his hunger strike and have been doing daily water changes. I offer food everyday, but is not interested. I’ve tried cut up earthworms, red wrigglers, bloodworms, salmon, and shrimp…. Nothing. Today I contacted a breeder and she suggested I put him in the fridge for a few hours to see if it might help. When I went to pull him out his water was pink (not sure if it was from him or the live red wriggler I had in the tub with him). He’s going on to 3 weeks and he’s lost a lot of weight. I’m not really sure what to do next. There are no exotic vets that will humor looking at an axolotl in my area. Any ideas what I could do to help this little guy work up an appetite again?
