Brainiac and Lex
New member
Hi guys,
Over the past several weeks I noticed my lotl Lex twitching just about everything: fingers/ toes, limbs, head, and tail tip. I assumed at first it was maybe a growth spurt or something (Lex is a little over a year old)... wasn`t too concerned since every time I stared at him doing it he just casually waved at me or swam towards me and he just seems his normal self, not really bothered by it at all. He`s kinda lazy, but I don`t think he got lazier as he still swims occasionally.
My water levels are fine and have been the whole time, with perhaps the exception of high nitrates (maybe a little over 40) after which I changed his water a few times and even cleaned his sponge filter. Even pH is a perfect 7. the only other thing affecting his water is his almond leaves, since he just had fungus recentish (gone for about a month now) but he was twitching well before and after that.
Should I be concerned? What is going on?
