Feeding newly morphed Ambystomidae opacum. 5 out of 6 marbled sallies refused wax worms left over night. I yard collected worms and scented some of the waxworms with those worms. One of my opacum took wax worm vigorously immediately! Mind you wax worms aren't very active, to say the least. So it must of been the scent that motivated the little guy. Left more of the same in with some of the others and will see how it turns out. Some of the marbles still looked plump so they may not be hungry yet.

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
