So yesterday i put tortilla in burritos tank
they are very close in size and i figured tortilla would grow better with more space
they seem to get along other than the fact that occasionally they kinda ram their heads into each other as if they are nipping but neither of them are injured in any way
perhaps they are kissing (it is valentines day lol)
anyone else notice this?

I'm not sure what kind of tortilla or burritos you have but mine generally stay on their plate, maybe try putting some hot sauce on them?

Do they actually nip at each other or do they just press their faces together? unless the size difference is an inch or two more they should be pretty peaceful

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
