Hi
I have had my two Fire Salamanders for about 6 years now. They have bred once, two years ago, which was really stressful (for me!) but we coped. The female is huge again now and I really dont think I can go through it again.
Id like to sell/rehome them as I am not doing justice to them. I bought them as babies from a friend whose pair had produced young, so they are captive bred of captive bred of captive bred ( I know three generations at least).
I dont know how to advertise on this forum as the for sale section will not allow posts from new members.
Any ideas please?
Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I too keep fire salamanders and I think they're great. There are plenty of people on the forum who would like some so I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling them.

Oh and by the way you can access the for sale section after you make five posts. So once you reply to this you'll be able to access it.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
