Hi there! I'm new here ^^ I live in Vegas currently and will be receiving my first Greater Siren this Tuesday. I did tons of research before deciding to buy her and am confident in my ability to provide her with the proper care--but I know once I get her, I'll have plenty of questions! I also love to write; I work as a freelance writer right now to give me some spending money while I finish college. I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher--and I plan on having plenty of class pets and home pets in the future :D

If anyone else wants to get to know me better, ask me to write something for them (yes I write essays), or impart some knowledge to me about Siren ownership, just shoot me a message!

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
