Hi I just have a question about my axies. I don't know which one it is but one of them had a green poop it was kind of a lime green but way darker. Does this happen from time to time? My wild type (Beans) only eats blood worms. Shes so picky, also she doesn't eat from the tongs or hand anymore just off ground. My luecistic type axie (Lilly) eats dead crickets, European nightcrawlers, and blood worms. I have tried pellets but they aren't soft so I think they have to sit for a while and I think only Lilly will eat some if any at all.

The tank is cycling and I am about to test parameters and will update.

I have seen that happen before when I was feeding a lot of blood worms. For your picky axolotl, have you tried beef heart (i.e San Francisco Bay Brand Beefheart Plus)? Also, I am not sure how shipping to Canada would work, but I also feed mine pellets from here Ambystoma Genetic Stock Center (order form here: http://www.ambystoma.org/images/orderhobbiest.pdf) in addition to occasional blood worm feedings.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
