I am having hard time keeping night crawlers alive. they all died within days of opening the container and im not sure how to keep them from dying right away. any tips? and is it okay to still feed him a mix of blood worms night crawlers and pellets? cause he really loves blood worms :p

yes, they were only kept in the fridge. i dont get why they all died...

It might have been a bad bunch or the place you're buying them from could be bad? Bloodworms, night crawlers and pellets are a good mix just be careful to feed everything in good moderation.

I bought then from my work (a pet shop) and opened them before I bought them and they all looked fine but after 2 days in my fridge they were all gone... Also is it true if one does it ruins them all?

I find it to be true that if one dies it ruins them all. I think the toxins from the dead body kill the others. Imagine how long you could last in a box with a living person vs a dead body.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
