Egg - half white/half dark

If an egg is laid and one half of the egg is dark and the other half is white does that mean anything?
i have tried to take a pic but they not coming out clear enough. basically exactly half of the egg is white and other half is dark. mother is a golden and father is either a black wildtype or a lucky.

Albino females lay all-white eggs, are you sure it was a gold?

All other eggs start out back on one side and white on the other - the dark side is the embryo and the white is the yolk.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
