Hi everyone! My baby has a nasty looking growth on his neck. I don't know what it is. He also seems to be getting one under his belly too. He isn't really being very active (only just after he eats) I will try and attach a picture of it. Please, I really need help. The pet shop here has no idea.

Thanks ☺

You really need to get your axies to a vet - there is no home remedy for tumours.

Hey! Thanks for your reply. I have just got him back off of my ex. Apparently he has had it for about a year now :( I'll be taking him to the vet tomorrow.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
