Hi there! I hope you are all well. I haven't posted for ages.

My 9 year old axie Orangina has some strange lumpy growth in her 'wrinkles' behind his/her front leg. Bit like grapes. Hope you are able to see something from the pic. it's not that clear.

She/he had a cancer lump removed many years ago from behind this same leg, and had some extra wrinkling appearing, maybe scar tissue??

However in the last months the wrinkles have gotten bit swollen and lumpy. I don't want to stress him by taking him to a vet, unless if necessary.

So just hoped somebody might have some idea whether its nothing to worry about, maybe age or scar tissue related, or should I take him for a check up?

Many thanks in advance. Kiss to all of your axies :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
