Hi my name is Justin and I currently don't have any salamanders or newts nor have I ever had any but I've been researching them for somtime now and I am now looking into getting a pair of two lined salamders somtime soon if you have any or know where I can get some please let me know. I do have experience in keeping frogs, fish, leopard geckos, vivariums and culturing isopods if you have any advice for me about caring for salamders or just tips let me know and thank you

Hi Justin, welcome to the site! Its nice to see someone doing their research before getting any animals instead of after. :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
