Hey forum,

I'm trying to find a thread I read about a while back.

It was about a rescued axolotl who had most of his limbs bitten off,

extremely emaciated,but somehow barely alive.

The thread has photos of the axolotl that gradually made full progress.

I remember reading the thread and it was really touching, especially from the

effort and tears shed by the poster to save the animal.

I wanted to share the thread with a friend but I can't find it anymore.

If anyone remembers that thread I'd appreciate any keywords to search for the thread-

I've spend about an hour searching but I can't find the thread I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
