Howdy fellow Lotl lovers :p I was just wondering if anyone has any axies they are looking to sell or rehome? I desperately wish to find a black melanoid or a wild type axie and am really having trouble locating them locally. I already have an albino male and am looking for a friend for him. Send me a message should you have them available. Thanks in advance :D

Check the "for sale" forum - many reputable sellers advertise there. What size is your current one? You don't want too big of a size difference, and most axies are sold at the 3-4" size.

He's just about 4 inches. He was pretty tiny when I got him. And, thanks!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
