Well, I'll get this one in feb 2nd, but I think this one is too fat that I even thought he has a serious problem such as infection. Is anything wrong with him? I heard his appetite is great anyway
Looks fat but otherwise very healthy. It wouldn't concern me but always quarantine and observe it first for a month before letting it anywhere near others. Do you know the sex for sure and what it has been fed and how much? I'd rather an overweight animal than a thin one. Should be easy to bring it down though....sensitively. You think a disease might be an issue? Why is this?
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
