This is my first post on here -
I have two male axolotls, who I think are about 1.5-2 years old (they were given to me in November.) They live on rocks, with no sand or gravel, and are hand-fed on axolotl pellets. The tank they live in has been established since before I got them and has a sponge filter.
The smaller one is totally fine but bigger one of the two seems like he might be constipated. For the past day and a half he has been floating tail up, nose down, although not constantly - maybe for half an hour or so before going back to sitting on the tank bottom, then floating tail up again, then sitting down again. He's still showing interest in food, but should I stop feeding him? He's a bit of a greedy bully so tends to get any pellets the smaller one drops, so I'd probably have to feed the small one in a separate container or something. Might he have been over-eating? Is he constipated, and is there anything I should do to help him?
Let me know what you think!
