I have 1 fire belly newt and 1 Adult Texas Barred Salamander and 2 baby Texas barred salamanders. how often do i feed my salamanders and newt. i heard that you should feed them like 15-20 crickets or so a week or 2 weeks. Is this true? And what flooring should i use for my newt i has medium sized rocks in the tank about 1-2 inches tall.

I think you should feed the babies every day just don't over do it to much. 1-2 medium crickets a day is probally good for the baby

how long have you had your animals for?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
