Usually I don't come here for help but TO help :). I was just wondering what y'all thought? she seems kind of stressed! constantly swimming around back and forth along the width of her 20 gallon tank stopping when she gets to her thermometer which is placed halfway. i have no idea how to attach videos but maybe these pictures will help? thanks you guys, never really had these problems before. water parameters are fine, i know that is the first question you guys will ask. And about the rocks she doesn't bother with them I promise God as my witness  Maybe you guys could help me with the uploading a video? her tail is curled because it is bent against the glass. She practically begs to eat (not that I starve her by any means, she is just a fatty.) so eating habits are normal.

I test my water regularly its always good. I noticed my male doing when i fist got both of my two newts in September. Then a few days later she did it found out i had high ammonia. I cycled my tank . She stopped doing it . He still did it every once and a while. Now they have been breading since December. He follows her all over the tank and stopped scratching at the tank so much. Know she doing it every once and a while. They even push the sand away from the glass the length of the tank i just push it back:confused:

I may not be much help and I haven't been on this forum for long, but I would have thought that posting videos would be through the "manage attachments" area, same as attaching pictures. It may take a while to upload a video, but it's worth having a go.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
