I recently got two golden albino axolittles (they are only about 3-4 inches long, so still little :p). At first I couldn't tell them apart but then I noticed one of them has dark lips. To be an albino though aren't they supposed to not have pigment? Is this normal, or could it be sick, or... ?
I'm trying to get a picture to show but it's hard since they swim so much.

It's normal. Some axies develop dark toe tip and lips, doesn't mean anything.

That's good to know. I figured since they were albino they wouldn't develop any dark spots. Well at least now I can tell them apart. :) Thanks!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
