Wikipedia says sea monkeys are a brand name for baby brine shrimp. If they are baby brine shrimp they should be safe. I have not raised salamanders before but i think they still are raised the same as newts and axolotl. Baby brine shrimp is my main food for my newt larvae even my 2 inch juveniles still love them. Someone that knows about salamanders hopefully will reply. Dont forget to rinse salt water off before feeding to your larvae i use coffee filters. This site has the best resources about raising larvae and food. Plus very helpful people with lots of experience. Explore caudata.org sites at the top right side of the page. Good luck
Thanks. I do plan on ordering brine and other eggs from some of the sources linked here, but wanted to run out to Walmart today to pick up a sea monkey kit. Just want to be sure they are safe since they come from a commercialized company.
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
