Hello, my name is Daniel. I live in Surrey.
I am interested in everything aquatic!
I have five adult cynops orientalis, two juveniles of one year old, twelve juveniles six months old and lots in the larvae stage.
I also have another tank with one albino xenopus laevis, three brown xenopus laevis and four brown xenopus tropicalis.
I also have a community tank with freshwater tropical fish.
Goldfish in the pond...
and a budgie!
I have been lucky enough to have done work experience at an aquatic wholesalers and at present, at a workshop where bespoke aquariums are made. They have helped me to make my own tank.:D

Hi Daniel and welcome to the forum.
Wow, that is quite a list.
You're so lucky to have done work experience at aquatics places. I'd love to see photos of the tank that you made, and of some/all of your animals.

Thank you Otterwoman and Donna for your welcome.
Yes I've raised the juveniles and larvae myself, with a few ups and downs, I'm learning along the way. I'll put some photos on when I've worked out how to do it.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
