New user. Question about Sierra Newts' toxicity

Hello enthusiasts. I'm a new user. I have a number of different newt species, and I'm wondering if it's safe to house similar-sized Sierra/California Newts with other species. I've read that their skin is toxic, and newts sometimes bite each other when they're in a feeding frenzy. Will their toxic skin kill other newt species (i.e. Spanish Ribbed Newts).

I've also heard that certain fire belly newts have toxic glands in their neck...so I have the same question about that.
 
I also believe I have a matched pair of Spanish Ribbed Newts and Danube Crested Newts...any advice on encouraging them to breed? Play some Barry White?
 
I wouldn't recommend it. Even though T. rivularis is the least toxic of the genus, i imagine it still has plenty of toxin to harm a different newt species.
Also, those two species do not have compatible care requirements. T. rivularis lives in the forest outside of the breeding season, and breeds in streams, whereas P. waltl lives in ponds.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
