Hey all!!! Good to be back on here, sorry for being MIA for so long! Officer Puckles and Brent have squeezed out yet another batch of eggs!!! (Second this year, they had a little early season in summer and I am still raising the 4 that survived that one) But unfortunately there isn't a lot of demand for axolotls where I live.
Mom is a GFP leucistic, dad is a black wild type. The babies of last years batch were half GFP/wild type. As well as regular wild types, GFP leucistics and regular leucistics (pink gills and white correct?)
I would love to sell them to someone who is interested in raising some of these adorbs babes! I've been hitting up my local pet shop but to no avail.

❤️❤️

Well I was actually hoping of selling the eggs, I'm not too sure I have the time or money coming up to raise a new clutch.
The juveniles I have are about 2 inches long today and last years babies I sold for $50-75 each. (our local pet store sells them for $75-100)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
