I'm new at axolotl keeping. Only got my 2 last week. They don't seem too interested in food. This shows his belly not as wide as his head so does he look ok?

Looks fine, males are noticeably slimmer than females

Thank you. They seem to ignore pellets and thawed bloodworm. The do eat live earthworms though. Does 2 worms each per day seem enough? (Not big ones)

How old are they (how long?) IF they are 8" you can do every other day if you want.

They are probably 5 or 6" now. The female doesn't seem to eat much either but I haven't got a good photo of her.

Gli axolotl devono mangiare 2 volte a settimana.
Da adulti, 12\13 cm, un pasto a settimana.
La quantità di alimenti, ad ogni pasto, deve essere grande come la loro testa.

Fai ricerche su internet. E studia..

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
