Hi. I've only had my 2 Axies since October, today I noticed hundreds of eggs. I didn't think they were old enough. The shop said to let the axies eat them, but I read I should remove them. I might try to give some a chance, but how many, and what do I do with the rest? Any ideas please! Thanks

How old are the eggs? If they're under 5 days you can freeze them to kill them before they develop. You could also sell them, or let them hatch and the parents will eat them.

But you really need to separate your male and female or this will happen very often (every 3 weeks or so)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
