Xoxitl (albino) and Guadalupe's (golden) mom here.
What an awesome "home" you guys provide here... thank you!
So, their home is presently a 20 gal. with Aqueon waterfall, reptile feeding dishes, rock, shelter accessories, wood, plants, fans, LED (staying at a comfortable soft blue most of the time until bedtime: out), ghosties, black and white sand. Temp. is maintained easily at 66 - 68 F.
While they love their home, I want a bigger one. Both juveniles are living comfortably in their home, but are moving into a 30 gal. "breeder" tank later this week (no intentions of breeding, just nice dimensions). Since we live in Florida and Summer will be here soon, I just purchased a chiller and temp. controller to make sure these guys are always as climate comfortable as possible.
That being said....
Question(s):
1. How much of the older cycled tank water (%) do I save/transfer over to the new tank?
2. Should their be a "healthy time lapse" before moving them into new tank?
Your expertise and experience appreciated....
Have a great rest of this day...
Michele
