Hello to everyone, my name is Vince. I have been on the facebook group a little but responses on their are sporadic so I thought maybe better discussions can be had on the forum :)

Im 30 from Stratford-Upon-Avon UK, ive kept all sorts of animals over the years, I started with Aquatics in my teens, Eels, Archer fish, Pirahna, then moved across into reptiles, small at first, geckos and beardies, then I moved to Monitors and Tegus for a short period until I had to move and couldnt take them all with me :( also landlords HATE you breeding locusts and cockroachs. . . :p

Its been years since I had anything but recently I made my first foray into Amphibians buy buying 1.2 Tylototriton Verrucosus. They have been breeding like crazy and im now raising some larvae its all rather exciting!

I would like to eventually get hold of a True Crocodile Newt but im not sure you can even get them.

Good to meet everyone anyway :)

Few snaps of what I have :D

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
