I've had my axolotl for a little over a month now, and he has had curled gills yesterday and today (see picture).
I did a water change yesterday and will probably do another one today. His water levels are:
Ph: 6.8
Ammonia: .25
Nirate: 5
Nitrite: 0
I have a desk fan I use for cooling and his tank sits at between 20C-18C. I have a filter (see picture) that doesn't produce a lot of water flow.
I feed him once a day cut up earthworms and defrosted bloodworms with tweezers (he won't eat the food if I put it on the tank bottom).
Please let me know what I can do to help him!!
