Hi,

My axolotl (Ted) had a fungal infection earlier this year. He stopped eating and didn't look good so we treated initially with salt baths and then used Mealfix. It definitely started to improve and we stopped testing once he looked fungus free.

Since then however he has started to get white patches all over him. He is however still eating as normal. Does this look like a fungal infection which never fully cleared up or something new? Or is it not something to worry about?

Thanks in advance for any answers. See pictures below.

This is vitligo - a condition where the pigment cells stop working, resulting in pale patches.
Harmless. But can be brought on by stress or other illness - same as in people.
It may continue until he looks like a leucisitc, it may reverse itself and the pigment will come back, or it will just leave pale patches on your axie.
