Good afternoon,
I noticed this about a week ago and I'm stumped as to what I'm supposed to do: one of my Axolotls gill veins is exposed and free floating (see attached). He/she shares the tank with two other axolotls, so occasional injuries do occur.
I could imagine having an exposed vein could lead to an incident with the axolotl potentially bleeding out -- what is likely to occur?
What steps should I take?
Thanks,
Justin
Edit: looks like this is a common question and not likely to be a problem, see this thread for reference: http://www.caudata.org/forum/f46-be...94439-veins-growing-outside-bowies-gills.html
