Hello everyone. My yellow albino axolotl Banana Bread has developed red spots. Initially, it was just on his head but I thought they were just freckles or something since they are reddish-brown. Few days later I see they have spread to his back and belly and are more distinctly red in those regions. I have two axolotls, the other is a pink albino Pink Floyd and doesn't seem to have any spots. They both are behaving normally, hyperactive actually, always chasing me when I walk by. I feed them every day to 1.5 days half a nightcrawler each. I keep them in a 20 long with 4 hideouts. The temperature is always between 12-18C.I want to nip this in the bud before it spreads worse if it is something serious.
I'm always worrying about them. Is there something wrong? If it's bacterial, can I use furan-2 to treat the water?
Water levels (ppm):
pH: 6.4
Ammonia: 0.5-1
Nitrate: 60-80 (Seems high? Did a 50% water change after test)
Nitrite: 0-0.25
