Hi There,
So my axolotl hadn’t pooped for almost a week which makes my quite worried since he usually poops once every other day.
I gave him a fridge treatment which makes him poop out. Today is the second day out of fridge and I tried to feed him earthworm ( like usual) and he only took 1/3 of the worm ( I usually cut the worm into 3 pieces). But everything else looks fine.
Any ideas? Is it normal? Tested water, everything is normal.
I only have one axolotl and he is in a 15gal tank by himself.
Does he still have constipation? or what do you guys think?
Thanks in advanced

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
