This is just to let you all know that Mark is busy administrating the competition entries at the moment. I want to thank Mark for his trouble; he has already done a heck of a lot to make this possible.

And Henk Wallays ought to be disqualified for making me stare at so many of his beautiful photos for so long!!! (joking about the disqualified part)

That's great John!

Is it possible for people in Holland (and the rest of Europe) to purchase the calendar too?

If you can use Cafepress, anyone can buy the calendar when it's available.

After seeing all the entries for the contest, I'm glad I didn't enter. The vast majority of those entered put every photo I've ever taken to shame. This should make for a great calender.

Quick update - final judging is imminent. We'll let you know who the winners are as soon as we can. It's tough with so many great photos!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
