Hello All

.........
I have been on this site for a small amount of time now. I've enjoyed it, and always seem to use the caudata culture database.

So, I wanted to get caudata an interesting present that hasn't been given before, at least to my knowledge. I see people donate money, have auctions, and some donate caresheets. I wanted it to be a little different.

So here it is:

A delayed Gift, but hey.

I know the /cc/ directory slash was a lot easier then the old long version of caudatecentral. I just thought it would be nicer to have your own identity even though you host thru caudata.org.

I have it setup as a mask to your current site address. I also setup 2 email accounts for it:

webmaster@CAUDATACULTURE.COM
jpmacke@CAUDATACULTURE.COM

these forward automatically to your current email with a AUTO reply too.

you also have sub-domains for easier access to some of the information:

http://species.caudataculture.com
http://articles.caudataculture.com
http://faq.caudataculture.com

I can also setup a DNS for the name if you have use for it. It would be NS1.caudataculture.com and NS2.caudataculture.com.

Well, even if you want me to change it to a simple "forward" and discipline me

for involving myself into something I should not have, I'm happy

either way.

Eeep that's pretty cool Cataldo. Thanks for such a wonderful gesture. To Jen: I'm your humble servant - let me know if you want to take Cataldo up on any of his ideas.

Thanks Cataldo, you are now a site "donor". If you would like a caudata.org e-mail address, write to John and tell him what address you want.

No one would "discipline" you for this, but it would have been better to contact us first. We are grateful for support in any form.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
