Just thought I'd show you a picture of me representing last year in Ecuador the CIG shirt... oh, yeah, those are the Miss Ecuador Contestants... how did they get there?

Ok forgive me for being dumb but what does CIG stand for?

How come I didnt see those ladies when I was in Ecuador? Life sometimes just isn't fair!

Cryptobranchid Interest Group. I saw them in the airport on the way to Yasuni National Park. I think they were drawn to my short shorts since Avianca lost all my bags leaving Colombia and I only had two shirts and those shorts from my volleyball team when I was 12 (and a foot shorter)-- so basically it was pity.

Simon to clarify Justin's post about the shirt, he saw the girls in the airport not the shirts. The shirts are available through the CIG through the CIG link on the caudata.org home page.

Justin's story has all the makings of a caudate story of the one that got away.

Thanks Ed. I suspected as much. I've never really looked at the link before. Shame on me. Now seems a good time to start though.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
