Axolotls are really neat pets!

I've had my axies for about 6 weeks now and they are great little pets,They've learned to eat from my hand and are quite the characters.Thanks too John for the wonderful web site that helps me to keep my axies happy and healthy

Yeh, i have to agree. I have 3 axolotls and have had the oldest one for 1 and a a 1/2 now. I love them heaps and never get tired of them :D
 
i too argree. i'm 18 and last night my friends 'popped in' and we spent 2hrs just whatching and talking about my axies. They're so cool, even my friends love 'em

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
