Salamanders in the Redwood canopy

I recently read an article in "The New Yorker" about the red wood canopy, apparrantly the home to a large variety of animals and plants. In the article it describes a group of "wandering salamanders" (I assume that's common name) which spend their whole lives over 200 feet above the ground. I was wondering if anyone here has heard about these salamanders.

Hi Ben,
This salamander is Aneides vagrans, they thrive in the microclimate of the treetop ecosystem, living their entire life 250 feet above the ground in old-growth redwood trees, more than 400 years old.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
