I am in the proccess of designing a quilted tapestry with a salamander theme. I would very much like to use photos as patterns for the various species. I print them enlarged then match the colors with fabric. There are some wonderful poses/shots in the photo gallery. I absolutely will not use anyones photo without permision. So I may be contacting some of you to ask. If any of you simply don't want me to use your photos (or better, would like to give me permission to use any of your photos) please feel free to post here. The photos themselves will not be reproduced, it's just easier to get the quilted ones right if I've got a good pattern to work with.

sara, i would love to see your finished product. however, i have no pictures to offer. sorry!

Thanks Kaysie, these can take me up to 6 months to complete but I'll post a photo when I'm done.

i tried to make a quilt once.... i think i still have it pinned together in my hope chest... i dont think i'd ever try tapestry though, thats a lot of work

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
