Not that this is a problem. Acutally, it's not a problem at all, just something that I found humorous.
I've been feeding my t. granulosa freeze-dried bloodworms, and he's been eating them, but reluctantly. Today I went and got some frozen bloodworms and I was lowering a chunk of them down towards the newt and I thought I accidentally dropped them, but when I looked under the lillypad (where I thought it went), there was nothing there, and the newt was sitting there looking at me. So I got another chunk and lowered it down there and right when it came close to the newt, he jumped out and grabbed them. Now he's swimming all around the tank finding the bits that he missed. I think I found some good food for the little guy finally. Yippie.
