I have read that Fire Salamanders can be fasted for 8 days, and then put into Hibernation mode in the fridge.
During the summer and spring months here in Sacramento it can get pretty hot. I need some help and pointers on what steps I can to insure that my Salamander will have a healthy hibernation
.
If I Fast him 8 days prier to placing him in the fridge, what temp should the fridge be regularly, also, how long can I keep him in Hibernation? The heat can last pretty long here, and I live in an upstairs apartment. I've found that it is easy to keep axolotls cool, but I feel that the fridge will probably be best for my Fire Sal.
Any advice, pointers, tips are most appreciated. Thanks
