I have been raising some Marbled salamander larva for the past few weeks and have had no problems until now. Two of the fourteen larva are floating upside down and it looks like they have one to two air bubbles in the body. Any help would wonderful because i want my little larva to transform without any trouble.

Give it a little time, lower the water level a bit and keep the food going. They will "toot" it out and be back to normal in no time.

What do you find is a successful technique for breeding breeding Ambystoma's? I have just got some A. Opacum myself and hoping that they will breed. Many thanks in advance your comments.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
