Fire newt infection???

Our fire belly newts have developed pinkish open sores on their bodies, one has even lost half a front leg to whatever this infection is. We have treated the water with an anti-fungal treatment for fish, used for treating mouth and fin rot. Any other advise for this kind of illness?
 
well their are several links for this mess on google search but I am not very aware of this sickness....sorrrrrry I cant help

I recently was given a water dog (about 12 inches in length [i didn't know they got that big])....I've had him for about 3 weeks now, and I've noticed that he's developed little bumps on his body. They are on his tail, head, hands, back, and on his stomach. I wanted to know what these were and if possible, how to treat them. I used to have a softshell turtle that developed similar things, and it ended up dying. Please help me before I lose my precious water dog...
 
I was using Fungus Clear, active ingredients nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and potassium dichromate. However, It didn't work and at the advise of another pet store(the one where I bought the newts)I was told to use a sulfa block. It is made by Dr. Turtle and Tetrafauna, and is for turtles, amphibians, and aquatic reptiles. It says it helps control common diseases of aquatic reptiles and amphibians. You can find it in the turtle section of the pet store. It mostly contains calcium sulfate.
