On one of my eastern newts, it looks as if the fingers on one of his hands is broken- it's bent instead of being just long and straight. It may also be happening to a toe. The water conditions are fine, temp is fine, he's eating (although not as much as usual). The fingers/toes are not fuzzy looking or oozing or discolored or anything- they just look bent/broken. Is this a fungal infection? Is there any way to treat it? I may take him to the vet to get some baytril which was used to treat a different newt last summer (for something else)and it appeared to work out well. Any ideas?
