could i put a black mystery snail in with my newt to help clean the tanks?is it safe for the newt and snail both?i know about infestation but im only putting one snail in.

the snails have been in a container tank alone and they smell is there away to get rid of the small so the newts tank doesnt stink aswell

I think this is pretty debatable. I would like to have snails but have heard horror stories of the snails sucking on the newt (not to mention, they would eat all of my live plants). I've heard people on this site say that it's okay if they're much smaller than the newts, but I'm not sure. I would look into this a bit more.

And I don't know anything about the stink.

Sorry.

i put the snails with the newt, they used to be in a rubbermaid maybe the smell was traped or something so maybe since they are in the newt tank that is ventalated better they wont smell anymore(or as bad)

Filtration and water changes can take care of the smell. But also be concerned that the snials have sharp trapdoors that could slice a curious newt up. Most mystery snails leave the live plants alone, and east algea and unreated food.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
