Blue spotted with spotted

I was wondering if spotted salamanders would act aggresively to blue spotted salamanders(or other way around)

and if I have a large enough tank say 20 gal could I house 2 spotteds with 2 or 3 blue spotteds(all full grown)

It's really hard to predict what a salamander's behavior will be toward another species. I have witnessed behavior from eastern newts that was completely "out of character" when they were living together with another newt species. Beyond that uncertainty, I would say that 5 full-grown Ambystoma in a 20-gallon tank (even a 20-long) is really close to the limit of the tank's capacity, even if they were all the same species. I wouldn't do it.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
