This is normal. When they are ready to start eating, they will sit up in a normal position (but still stay on the bottom).

Hi. I am a brand new Newt Owner and my newt just laid eggs in a plant. What do I do?!?!? In the terraruim there are also guppies. Is this a concern? We want to have a healthy newt family please help us.

Hello, i have a hatchling which might be T. torosa and it has been happily eating brine shrimp for the past week. I'm wondering if I need to have additional food or can I continue to just feed it brine shrimp until it is big enough to eat daphnia? Do I need to add vitamin supplements or such?
