i have been having a reacurring problem with springtails. they show up multiply quickly and then i have to clean the cage. even if i do a steral cleaning they come back. does anyone know where they come from why they keep coming back and is their anyway to get rid of them for good.

Also are they of any threat to my fire salamander????

I actually plant them in my enclosures to assist in cycling organic material. They're no threat.
