Frozen Foods for Western Newts?

Hello:
My Western Newts (Taricha Granulosa) love to eat the Hikari Bio-Pure frozen cubed Bloodworms, but will not eat the Hikari frozen Tubifex worms. Does anyone know which of the following other Hikari frozen cubed foods I can feed to them, so they can have an additional food in their diet other than the Bloodworms?:

Hikari Brine Shrimp
Hikari Mysis Shrimp
Hikari Daphnia
Hikari Krill

Also, which ones are too small for them to find? Thank you for your help.

Hi John, this isn't exactly what you asked for, but I thought I would pass on the info that my t. grans LOVE chopped nightcrawlers (I buy them at Wal-mart so that the elderly men at the bait shop don't whistle at me.) ;)

It's quite a bit messier, you do have to chop them up, but the newts love it!

yea.. I started feeding chopped worm to my newts again. And my cloudy eye newt is once again laying egg. I guess Earthworm really is the best food.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
